Formerly officiated by the Fathers of the Congregation of the Oratory of San Filippo Neri, it was built between 1680 and 1722 based on a design by architect Francesco Massari, a student of Borromini, and Luzio Bonomi, an architect-painter of Ripan origins. The church has a Latin cross plan with a single nave. The interior decorations were carried out by Milanese artist Mastro Tobia and Perugian Lorenzo Vibi and feature gold and stucco decorations. It houses a 17th-century canvas of the Immaculate Conception by Pietro da Cortona and relics and mementos of San Filippo Neri.
