Rosso Piceno Superiore Road
The route begins at Contrada Colle di Guardia, a significant stretch of the Rosso Piceno Superiore Road, through the rolling vineyard-covered hills surrounding Ripatransone. With the largest vineyard area in the Marche region and 18 active wineries, the area offers an extraordinary variety of wines, from fragrant whites like Pecorino and Passerina to full-bodied reds like Rosso Piceno Superiore. During the walk, you can stop at one of the local wineries to taste the wines and learn the stories of the winemakers who, with passion and dedication, continue this centuries-old tradition.

Monte Antico Gate
After wandering through the vineyards with a few stops at one of the many wineries scattered throughout the area, you reach the historic Porta di Monte Antico, one of the main access points to the historic center of Ripatransone. Passing through this gate, you enter the heart of the village, known as the "Belvedere del Piceno" for its panoramic views spanning from the Adriatic Sea to the Sibillini Mountains. From here, you can enjoy evocative views and the authentic atmosphere of a town that has managed to preserve its medieval charm intact.

Belvedere - Rest Area and Bike Service
Treat yourself to a stroll through the historic center! After wandering the ancient alleys of Ripatransone, and before concluding your immersion in taste and culture, we invite you to a short but unmissable detour: look out from the Belvedere in Largo G. Speranza.
From this privileged vantage point, located in the heart of the historic center, you can fully understand why Ripatransone is known as the Belvedere of the Piceno. The eye is lost in a horizon that encompasses the Adriatic coast, the rolling cultivated hills, the medieval villages, and, on clear days, the sharp profiles of the Sibillini Mountains, the Gran Sasso, and even Mount Conero.

Bubbles to scale
During the month of July, Ripatransone celebrates its wine and its winemaking tradition during the "Bolle in scala" event. The evocative staircase on Via Margherita is transformed for the occasion into a stage for an evening that combines territory, flavor, and atmosphere. Here, between one step and the next, wine tastings from Ripatransone's best wineries take place, in a format that has already won over the local public.
Organized by the "Ripartiamo" association with the patronage of the Municipality of Ripatransone, the evening sees the participation of local wineries ready to share their stories through fragrant glasses, sincere conversation, and toasts under the stars.
